GRIPS Summer Research Program with Cecilia and Ellen
This summer, our group had the pleasure of hosting two talented international students through the Global Research Immersion Program for Young Scientists (GRIPS). Over the past few weeks, Cecilia Vaz and Ellen Chan carried out independent research projects with great dedication and curiosity. Cecilia dove into the fascinating world of insect-pathogenic fungi interactions, and Ellen took on the challenge of investigating microclimate refugia for ants, examining how fine-scale environmental conditions might buffer ant communities from climate extremes.
We are very thankful for them bringing incredible energy, passion, and fresh perspectives to our group. We wish them all the best in their future academic and career journeys. Looking forward to welcoming more bright young minds through GRIPS in the years to come!
